Fredericksburg 4th of July Parade
In 2024, the Fredericksburg, Texas Fourth of July Parade down Main Street featuring nearly 100 floats decked out in their patriotic best will be on Thursday, July 4.
Fredericksburg 4th of July Activities & Celebrations
Celebrate the Fourth of July, Luckenbach Texas-style. This free event features live music, food, dance lessons, a Willie Nelson Look-A-Like contest, a kids art contest, face painting and more. Noon to 5 p.m.
Becker Vineyards will host their Hot Dogs on the Fourth event. Purchase a glass of wine, enjoy a complimentary hot dog and live music. No reservations required. Hot dogs served from Noon- 2 p.m. or until sold out.
The Fredericksburg Farmers Market will be open from 4-7 p.m. at Marktplatz. Shoppers can meet farm and ranch producers and purchase fresh produce, meats, baked goods and enjoy live music.
In 2024, the City of Fredericksburg's fireworks show returns to Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park on July 4! Several viewing areas are available inside the park and at the Gillespie County Fair Grounds. Bring the family and your lawn chairs. Fireworks start around 9:30 p.m.
The holiday also kicks off the summer horse racing season at the Gillespie County Fair Grounds. Races will be held on Saturday and Sunday, July 6-7. Gates open at Noon and race time is 2 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for kids 6 to 12 and free admission for children under 6.
One of the area's top attractions, Enchanted Rock State Natural Area, is a popular destination for the holiday. You will need an advance reservation to enter the park or use the trails. If you do not have a reservation and the park has sold out, please explore one of these other great outdoor areas in Fredericksburg.
